My name is Jalen Butkus. I have been a lifelong artist but officially graduated from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in 2022. I majored in illustration with a focus in concept art. My goal artistically is to tell stories and create art that provokes emotion. Along with this artistic goal, I strive to create tattoos that are precise and as accurate as possible. I am originally from Washington State but mostly grew up in Northern Colorado. Outside of art I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, playing sports, and watching movies/tv shows. I look forward to working with you.

To get started, please reach out through the contact form below, by email (jabinktatttoo@gmail.com), or through Instagram direct messages (@jabink_). Please include your tattoo idea, along with any reference images or photographs that help show the style, placement, and overall vision you have in mind. Once I have a better understanding of your concept, I can provide an estimated price range for your tattoo. From there, we can discuss available appointment dates and find a time that works best for you.

A deposit is required to secure your appointment on my calendar. The deposit amount varies depending on the size and scope of the tattoo and will be applied toward the final cost of your piece.

If you’d like, we can also schedule a consultation by phone or meet in person before your appointment. I enjoy coming prepared and having a clear understanding of your vision before creating your tattoo. For tattoos that require a custom design, I typically spend the week leading up to your appointment developing the artwork. When you arrive, we can review the design together and make any final adjustments needed to ensure it feels right before we begin tattooing.

Pricing

The minimum at our shop is $80. Outside of small tattoos I am normally charging around $90-$100 an hour. Prices do vary depending on the difficulty of the tattoo.

How to find the tattoo shop

The tattoo shop is located at 151 S College Ave in downtown Fort Collins. Our entrance is the double glass doors tucked between the First Bank and the Bar District entrances. Through the glass doors you will head downstairs; the tattoo shop is located on the right hand side.

Downtown Fort Collins is also home to many great food places, shopping stores, and entertainment. If you haven’t checked it out before, I highly recommend it.
